Buchanan Grabouski LLP

In 2003, several partners left an elite Texas law firm to pursue their vision for a new firm, now known as Buchanan Grabouski LLP (BG). The firm’s sophistication from its larger firm roots continues to this day, as recognized by the legal industry:

  • Martindale-Hubbell recognizes both partners as Preeminent AV rated, through their peer review rating process.

  • Best Lawyers®, “Best Law Firms,” (Woodward/White, Inc.) ranks the firm first tier among Austin law firms for Commercial Litigation for 2017.

  • Thomson Reuters has repeatedly selected Britt Buchanan as a “Super Lawyer” as a result of voting and evaluation by his peers (2004-2017 and 2014-2017 respectively).

  • The Best Lawyers of America (Woodward/White, Inc.) lists Mr. Buchanan in the practice area of © Commercial Litigation (since 2015 and 2016, respectively).

  • AVVO ranks both partners with 10 out of 10 ratings.

In addition to being recognized, BG is heavily involved in the legal community. Britt Buchanan is a past president of the Austin Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, former board member of St. Mary’s University School of Law Alumni, and received the Edmund Muskie Award from the Tort and Insurance Practice Section of the American Bar Association, commending his contribution to the provision of legal services to the poor. Laura Grabouski was also elected and served as a board member for the Austin Bar Association and served as a co-chair of the Austin Bar’s Judicial Affairs Committee, CLE Committee, and Bench-Bar Conference, in addition to routinely writing and presenting on insurance law. Many of the lawyers’ articles and presentations are listed on the individual attorney pages.

BG is also engaged with the broader community. Laura Grabouski currently chairs and is a long standing member of the Austin Diocese Red Mass. Britt Buchanan is currently a board member of the Austin Chapter of Entrepreneur’s Organization. BG’s attorneys continue to be engaged through various bar association meetings and mentoring programs for younger attorneys.
